Starting a new project.

Yesterday (Sunday) as I was trying to choose fabrics that I would like in a new purse pattern I have been wanting to try, my daughter(Lisa) asked if I could make her friend a "snappy" cosmetic bag. Her friend really liked the one I had made for Lisa and I love sewing for others - besides - These don't take very long... so I made her friend one out of University of Michigan fabric. Still had fabric left so... I made her a checkbook cover too! I should have taken a picture of them but they are already gone to their new home. The recipient was very pleased!
Then I began my new purse. The pattern is from Whimsicals and is called "Market Bags". I love the look of this bag. I am using alot of the unique stitches on my machine and have really enjoyed putting it together. I am about 2/3 done. (ran out of time yesterday) but as soon as it is all put together, I will put up some pictures.
This is one reason I enjoy having this blog.....If I make a promise to show pictures than I MUST finish my projects.

Finally starting

I have wanted to start "My Blog" but have put it off because I thought it would be difficult. This was not at all difficult and I am happy to begin.
I love all sewing blogs and will sit for hours looking at and reading as many as I can.
I hope you find some of mine interesting enough to spend time with me.
I love the unique things as I do alot of sewing for gifts.
In the future I will be posting some of my unique designs and hopefully this will encourage me to offer some of my own patterns.
